Assignment # 1

Hello everyone!
My name is Nazira Meman. I am currently majoring in Liberal Arts: Math & Science in La Guardia community college. My future goal is to transfer out into a senior college to pursue a bachelor's degree in science and further into the Physical Therapy Program. I want to achieve a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
I am both a science and a humanities person. I like literature and I definitely read a lot. I am also interested in learning different languages from all over the world. I am also fascinated by different cultural histories from around the world. The reason why I also consider myself a science person is because I like to study about human anatomy and bone structures and how to cure joint pains through acupuncture (mainly the reason why i chose this major in the first place). Acupuncture is a process of penetrating needles through your skin to trigger points in our body as a result relieving pain in your body.  I am also very good at biology and it has always been my favorite subject. It's way better than math for sure.
I think in United States today people feel positive about science and technology because it's making their life effortless and easy. However, we also realize that the more technology we have the lazier human race is becoming. As Albert Einstein once said, "It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded humanity." Technology has already taken hold of us and we are so relied on it that there's no way we would be able to live without it. So yes i do think that majority of people today accept science as a way of understanding their world. They don't see the world for what it used to be like but what it has become like.
